Onsen Town Togura-Kamiyamada is unique in that you won't find a lot of typical souvenir stores. Instead, there are several specialty shops here. Many feature handcrafted goods made by the owners, such as miso, marinated river fish and manju sweets. Other stores offer goods sold by professionals in their field that are happy to share their expertise in such areas as tea, Japanese clothing, household wares and sake. For visitors from overseas, several stores have Tax-Free status.
